Philippine Military Academy (PMA) announced that 1,099 candidates (5.04%) successfully passed the 2024 PMA Entrance Examinations (PMAEE).
The PMA reported that a total of 21,796 aspiring military officers took the exams across four locations on these dates:
- Mindanao: August 10 and 11
- Visayas and Region V: August 24 and 25
- National Capital Region, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA: September 7 and 8
- Northern and Central Luzon: September 21 and 22

The successful candidates will now advance to the next stage, which involves medical, psychological, and physical assessments in preparation for cadetship.
These Complete Physical Examinations (CPE) will be conducted at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command (AFPHSC) in V. Luna, Quezon City, to assess candidates' physical and mental readiness for the rigorous four-year military training at PMA.
In a related statement, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) mentioned, "The selection process for the incoming PMA Class of 2029 is set to conclude by the 1st quarter of 2025, with admissions tentatively scheduled for June 2025."
Successful examinees will be informed of further steps via mail and email.
The annual PMAEE tests applicants’ mental abilities across several areas: Mathematics (algebra and geometry), English (grammar, composition, reading comprehension), and Abstract Reasoning (verbal and numerical reasoning, pattern analysis).
